Today I decided I would post the Top 5 Foreclosures around the Athens area. I am going to do this every few days, because I think people would like to know if these are actually deals, and where they are located. They are a mixture of HUD homes, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Bank Owned Homes. If you are looking for really good deals, usually HUD will price their homes better than surrounding homes and foreclosures so that they will sell quickly. These five homes are, in my opinion, some really good deals when compared with the surrounding neighborhoods and available homes. These are not all listed with me or my company, but because I work as a Buyer’s Agent, it will be easy for me to show you any of the homes on this list, or any others you might want to see. Today there are about 75 Foreclosed homes in the Athens Area. Compared to last year at the same time, this is almost half the inventory. Deals are drying up, more people are actually looking, which means if you are selling your home it won’t have the large drag down in price like the past few years. I have yet to see prices begin to increase, but that could be on the near horizon.
