Things are looking Good for Real Estate around Athens and all over

The past few years have been pretty shaky ground for anyone owning or thinking about buying a home. It is the “American Dream,” and for millions of people that went through foreclosure, the times have been tough.  But if you also think about the millions of people that now have found some good deals who have purchased a home recently the days are looking brighter.   In my experience the past year, almost every deal that I worked on, whether the offer was accepted or not by the Seller, there were Multiple offers! Nobody likes to compete on the buyer’s side, but for the Seller’s that is usually a good situation.  Now with the new year off to a great start, and the Dow Jones has broken records for the highest numbers ever in history, the future is getting better each day.  The following report actually shows how the improvement is spreading across the country.  For Athens residents and especially the area around Oconee County, the market is moving towards the seller each and every day.   We may not be in the Top 10, since the population of the area is less than 200k, but we in the Real Estate profession see the number of listings decrease day after day.  This means if you have been waiting to list your home, in many areas, the time is right! Call me to get an idea what your neighborhood or area is looking like right now.  Speaking from the listing agent side of the market, we really need more good homes to sell!  Here is my number 678-485-9198.  See you soon Spring days in Athens!!
